The Moores Mill Animal Hospital team consists of veterinarians, technicians and staff who all have a passion for pets. You may notice we have a very large team. That’s because when it comes to your family pet, there’s no such thing as too much care. We look at every issue from multiple angles and vantage points to ensure your pet is happy and healthy.


Meet your veterinarians! Each member of the Moores Mill Animal Hospital team is experienced, knowledgeable and committed to providing your pet with the best care possible.


Dr. Glen Puckett joined Moores Mill Animal Hospital in the fall of 2008. Dr. Puckett received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in Zoology and attended Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2008. Dr. Puckett and his wife, Heather, have a son, Cooper, and daughter, Lily, as well as three dogs, Grayton, Doc and Betty Mae.


Dr. Dan Kuykendall graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in June 1996. Upon graduation, he first practiced with Dr. Grady Lanier in Ocala, Fl. In 1997, he moved to Birmingham to work with Hoke Animal Clinic and Green Springs Animal Clinic. He was raised in Opelika and returned to the area in 1999 after purchasing Village Veterinary Clinic from its founder. He and his wife, Meredith, have two daughters, Emory, and Elizabeth. His four-legged companions are Molly and Coach (dogs) and Lola (cat). He enjoys golfing and woodworking and his professional interests include surgery and dermatology.

Veterinarian, Owner

Dr. Karyn Ware is an Opelika native and attended Auburn University. Dr. Ware graduated in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science, and in 2009 graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine with honors. After graduation, Dr. Ware moved to Flagler Beach, Florida, where she worked as an associate at Flagler Animal Hospital, a 24/7 small animal emergency hospital. She joined MMAH in 2014 and became a partner in 2018. Dr. Ware and her husband Chris, also an Opelika native, have a son, Charlie, daughter, Emma Kate, daughter Evelyn, and dogs, Echo, Wilma, and Fred.


Dr. Tommy Poole grew up in Kennesaw, Georgia, and earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Finance, both from Auburn University in 2006 and 2008, respectively. After graduation, he worked for Deloitte and Touche in Atlanta for two years before returning to Auburn to pursue veterinary medicine. While in vet school, he worked at Moores Mill Animal Hospital as a volunteer, kennel tech and vet assistant. Dr. Poole earned his DVM from Auburn University in 2016, and joined Moores Mill Animal Hospital as a veterinarian soon after. He and his wife have a son, Tuck, and daughter, Vivi Mae.


Dr. Hanna Lamb received her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Auburn University in 2010 before going on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Dr. Lamb was born and raised in Memphis, TN where she always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She now calls Auburn home where she resides with her husband (Jake), their two kids (Addison and Fitz) and three dogs (Balou, Daisie, and Sprocket). Her hobbies include traveling to Disney, running half marathons, reading, and of course, watching as much Auburn football as possible. War Eagle! 


Dr. Marc Nay joined Moores Mill Animal Hospital in August of 2020. 

Practice Manager
with MMAH since 2012

Michelle has been working for MMAH since 2012. She has filled every position from kennel, receptionist, veterinary technician, to practice manager. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Management and minor in Human Resources and is working on achieving the Veterinary Practice Manager Certification. She and her husband have two four-legged kids named Dixie and Iris.

Jennifer has been working in vet med since 2000 and also is a certified pharmacy technician. She has special interest in internal medicine. Her great grandpa was a vet in Ozark, AL. Her favorite ice cream is peach (the good stuff from Bruster’s).


Erica has worked at MMAH since 2016. She graduated from Auburn University in 2015 with a degree in Animal Sciences. Erica is happily married with one son named Bowen and three fur babies.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Kayla is a licensed veterinary technician and has been working for MMAH since 2015. She achieved her Associates in Science from Southern Union State Community College and graduated in May 2018 with an Associates in Veterinary Technology. She has one pup named Ozzy, a 3-year old German Shepherd Mix.

Veterinary Assistant
with MMAH since 2017

Kris graduated from Jefferson State Community College in May 2019 with an associates in veterinary technology. She started with us at MMAH in January 2017, but she has worked in veterinary hospitals since 2011. She has 3 dogs: Nina the GSD, Bruise the JRT, Bindi the Mini Aussie, 4 cats: Bella, Zorra, Armani, Fabio and Billie Jean the bearded Dragon.

Licensed Veterinary Technician
with MMAH since 2016

Erica came to Moores Mill Animal Hospital after working at an emergency pet center in Texas. She is a licensed Veterinary Technician and currently working towards her PhD at Auburn University. She has 1 dog, named Ginger, who she adopted her from Lee County Humane Society.

Veterinary Assistant
with MMAH since 2017

Heather is from Orlando, Florida. She works at Moores Mill Animal Hospital because she loves animals and plans to go back to school to obtain her veterinary technician license so she can continue to work in the veterinary field. Heather has 5 pets. 

with MMAH since 2018

Brooke is an Auburn native. She joined MMAH because she loves being around animals and she has a GSP named Whiskey.

Veterinary Assistant since August 2018

Lauren is a Sophomore at Auburn University studying Animal Sciences with the intention to go to veterinary school. She has one kitty at home named Mac.

Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant
 since June 2010

Tina graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 2005 and married Kevin in 2009. She has been working in the veterinary industry since she was 16 years old as a veterinary technician and receptionist. She joined the MMAH team in June 2010, then took two years off work to raise her wonderful twins, Penelope and John a.k.a. PB&J. She has two pups named Sally the Noodle and Jack Skellington and four cats.

Veterinary Assistant
since June 2018

Morgan is a pre-veterinary student at Auburn University. She grew up on a farm with lots of pets including her English Bulldog Bentley who lives with her in Auburn. Her goal is to graduate from Auburn’s College of Veterinary Medicine and become a zoo veterinarian.

Veterinary Assistant
with MMAH since July 2019

Emeline plans to graduate from Auburn in May 2021 in wildlife science with a pre-vet concentration. She has a Great Pyrenees mis named Lily who she adopted from the Lee County Humane Society. She loves animals of every shape, size, and color and hopes to attend vet school in the future. 

Veterinary Assistant
since June 2019

Caitlyn grew up in North Alabama, on a farm, surrounded by nature and wide open spaces full of various animals. She now lives with her three dogs, Kyla, Ellis, and Cien in Auburn. Caitlyn, known to the MMAH family as CC, graduated from Auburn University in 2019 with her Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering. She is now pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. As CC looks at the possibilities of what might contribute to the best version of a fulfilling life, the unmistakable answer for her is serving others by pursuing a career as a veterinarian.
