Dr. Puckett and his wife, Heather, have a son, Cooper, and daughter, Lily, as well as three dogs, Lottie, Doc and Betty Mae.

Dr. Karyn Ware is an Opelika native and attended Auburn University. Dr. Ware graduated in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science, and in 2009 graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine with honors. After graduation, Dr. Ware moved to Flagler Beach, Florida, where she worked as an associate at Flagler Animal Hospital, a 24/7 small animal emergency hospital. She joined MMAH in 2014 and became a partner in 2018. Dr. Ware and her husband Chris, also an Opelika native, have a son, Charlie, daughter, Emma Kate, daughter Evelyn, and dogs, Echo, Wilma, and Fred.

Dr. Tommy Poole grew up in Kennesaw, Georgia, and earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Finance, both from Auburn University in 2006 and 2008, respectively. After graduation, he worked for Deloitte and Touche in Atlanta for two years before returning to Auburn to pursue veterinary medicine. While in vet school, he worked at Moores Mill Animal Hospital as a volunteer, kennel tech and vet assistant. Dr. Poole earned his DVM from Auburn University in 2016, and joined Moores Mill Animal Hospital as a veterinarian soon after. He and his wife have a son, Tuck, and daughter, Vivi Mae.

Dr. Hanna Lamb received her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Auburn University in 2010 before going on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Dr. Lamb was born and raised in Memphis, TN where she always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She now calls Auburn home where she resides with her husband (Jake), their two kids (Addison and Fitz) and three dogs (Balou, Daisie, and Sprocket). Her hobbies include traveling to Disney, running half marathons, reading, and of course, watching as much Auburn football as possible. War Eagle!

Dr. Nay.jpg

Dr. Marc Nay joined Moores Mill Animal Hospital in August of 2020, working specifically in performing surgeries on our patients. Dr. Nay owned his own emergency veterinary  clinic in Virginia for 25 years before settling back into the town he grew up in: Auburn, Alabama! Not only did he grow up here, but he also graduated with his bachelor's of science in biology and his veterinary medicine  doctorate from Auburn University. Dr. Nay has two children, Olivia and Brock, three dogs, Ellie Mae, Drake, and Kate, and three cats, Ben, Baxter, and Thurston. His wife Jennifer obtained her MBA from Auburn University and now works in the College of Business for AU. Dr. Nay enjoys golfing and working on his farm during his spare time.

Dr. Hillary Adkison joined Moores Mill Animal Hospital in August of 2021 and is grateful to be a part of this wonderful team! She is a Kentucky native and proud graduate of Murray State University, where she received her bachelor's degree in Agriculture. Following Murray State, she attended veterinary school at Auburn University, graduating in 2018. War Eagle! After working for 3 years at a small animal general practice in Georgia, she is thrilled to be back in Auburn. When she is not at work, Dr. Adkison enjoys baking/cooking, reading, playing her violin, and going camping/hiking as often as possible. She and her husband, David, have one dog named Winston and one cat named Boomerang.

Practice Manager
with MMAH since 2012

Michelle has been working for MMAH since 2012. She has filled every position from kennel, receptionist, veterinary technician, to practice manager. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Management and minor in Human Resources and is working on achieving the Veterinary Practice Manager Certification. She and her husband have a daughter, Hattie, and two four-legged kids named Dixie and Iris.

Jennifer has been working in vet med since 2000 and also is a certified pharmacy technician. Jenn's great grandfather was a veterinarian in Ozark, AL, thus spurring her interest towards the veterinary field. Her favorite subset of veterinary medicine is the field of internal medicine as she loves problem-solving complex medical concerns. Jenn has a zoo at home: a parrot, cockatiel, multiple cats and dogs, chickens, and occasionally a goat, live under her care, proving that Jenn is not only a skilled technician with companion animals, but also with exotics and farm animals too! A fun fact: Jenn's favorite ice cream is peach (the good stuff from Bruster’s).

with MMAH since 2019
Veterinary Assistant
with MMAH since 2017

Heather is originally from Orlando, Florida, and has been working at  Moores Mill Animal Hospital since 2017. Her favorite part of working here is preventing ailments in the well pets that come to see us, and is determined to save the lives of the sick animals that come through our doors. Heather's favorite animal is the dog, which is pretty evident since both her fur kids are of the canine variety. Heather sees her greatest accomplishment as the fact that she has been in veterinary medicine for over 10 years, but still loves the work she does, the people she helps, and the animal's lives she saves.

Veterinary Assistant
with MMAH since 2019

Morgan has been with Moores Mill Animal Hospital since 2019 and her favorite part of the job is phlebotomy! She is so gentle when obtaining bloodwork from our patients, but is also efficient so that there is minimal stress. Morgan is passionate about horses and even has one of her own named Hank. In addition to Hank, Morgan has a Pitbull mix named Harley and a Rottweiler/Boxer mix named Prince. Her furbabies keep her busy, that's for sure! Morgan feels that her greatest accomplishment is becoming more confident in herself and her work, as she has worked diligently on growing a constructive and positive attitude towards life's responsibilities and challenges.

Veterinary Assistant
with MMAH since 2021

Lindsey has worked as a receptionist with Moores Mill Animal Hospital but is now pursuing the duties of a veterinary assistant! Lindsey has graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Industries and is now focusing on her Master's degree with Auburn. Her favorite part of working for MMAH is putting a smile on our client's faces by caring for their furbabies as if they were her own and by engaging in wonderful customer service. Lindsey's favorite type of animal is a giraffe and although she does not currently have any furbabies of her own, she plans to get one in the future!

with MMAH since 2018

Brooke is an Auburn native and is one of the many bright faces waiting to welcome you to our clinic. Her favorite part of working at Moores Mill Animal Hospital is getting to catch up with clients and greeting all the wonderful furbabies we see. Brooke's favorite animal species is the dog, but specifically of the German Shorthair Pointer breed; see if you can catch sight of her German Shorthair Pointer, Whiskey, hanging out behind our desk! One of Brooke's greatest accomplishments is buying her first house this past year and making it cozy for herself and Whiskey!

with MMAH since 2021

Ellie has been with MMAH since April of 2021 and has already made such a large impact on our clients! As we moved to curbside due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ellie was often the face of the clinic as she met with clients at their car windows. Ellie graduated with a Bachelor's of Industrial Design from Auburn University and is now interested in pursuing a career in neonatal nursing. Her favorite part of working in our veterinary clinic is seeing how excited the various animals are when they come see us; the tail wags and kisses she gets make Ellie's day! Since she has a big tabby cat, Ellie's favorite type of animal is cats, specifically the chunky, fluffy ones.

Client Experience Attendant and Receptionist
with MMAH since 2021

Ms. Tommie has been with MMAH since April of 2021 and is often the first face that clients and patients see when they arrive at the clinic! Her favorite part about working at MMAH is seeing furbabies reunited with their owners: the wagging tail, cries and barks of excitement, meows of joy, and the immediate demand for parental pats on the head. Although Ms. Tommie loves all animals, she is partial to dogs as she has two Daschunds of her own! That being said, she also has a cat, so it's a close call on her favorite animal species. Her greatest life accomplishment so far was being able to minister to others while she was a nurse, as well as being blessed with a great family.
